Stacy Yeater, Staff Accountant
From the mid-west to the east coast, I've called several places home. After attending George Washington University, I relished life in the DC area for many years. But, leaving there in 2004 for a peaceful, slower-paced, community-oriented way of life in the Finger Lakes has been a true blessing for me and my family. The vista views of beautiful Seneca Lake and vineyards greet me every morning and throughout my workday, making me feel like I'm on permanent vacation. If you ever pass me when I'm driving and see a ridiculous grin on my face, it's because sometimes I still can't believe how lucky I am to live here! The abundance of hiking, biking, kayaking and camping opportunities allows lots of quality family time in the great outdoors. Then there's the music, it's everywhere. Grassroots Festival, Pickin' in the Pasture, the State Theater, and pretty much any night at the Rongovian Embassy, I need more time! And the food! At least 3 farm markets within 5 miles of my house, and a multitude of CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) options, make it easy to indulge my locavore tendencies.
And then of course there's the wine... how long do I have to live here before I get to try every single Finger Lakes Riesling (my favorite varietal)? Luckily at Atwater we make some of the best! It's just one of the 100 reasons I love working here.
When I'm not crunching numbers at the winery, spending time with my family, or indulging my travel bug, you can find me volunteering in the community with the Cub Scouts, the Watkins-Montour Lions Club, and the Chemung Valley Montessori School.
We hope you come visit us at Atwater and get a taste of everything the Finger Lakes has to offer!
